It was very nice seeing several students and staff sitting their waiting for their turns to donate their blood. Personally speaking, I consider human translantiation and blood donations of the most noble and humane ways of helping others where you don't only give the 'extra' money or some support, but also you 'sacrifice' a part of your very precious health for the safety and sake of someone else. This amount is liable to increase steadily as we expect a steady increase in the number of sick children with cancer from all across &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Egypt&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; and from the Arab countries.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; color: rgb(0, 102, 0);"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;"&gt;Since the start of operations in July 7, 2007 at the hospital, and in the course of over one year we have received and treated over 25% of children with cancer in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Egypt&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;, totally free of charge. A good number of them have completed their treatment at the hospital and have resumed their normal lives. With the expected running of the hospital at full capacity and the opening of all remaining departments this year, it is estimated that the number of cases received and treated will rise to 50% of the expected total number of children with cancer in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Egypt&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; which is estimated at 8500 per year. Also, within our clear mission of serving as a magnet of care and exchanging knowledge with other healthcare institutions within both our immediate external Arab community and internationally, the hospital has received 70 cancer cases from our sister Arab countries namely Yemen, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain.   &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" dir="ltr" style="text-align: left; direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; color: rgb(0, 102, 0);"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Arial;"&gt;The administration was keen since the project's inception to always adopt international quality standards in all aspects,  such as design, sanitation, infection control, training, organization, treatment protocols. It  also firmly believes that all sick children regardless of their background are equal in receiving the best comprehensive quality care offered  free of charge by the hospital. Our ultimate objective is to increase cure rates from the present 40-45% in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Egypt&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; to 80-85% as in the developed world. Before the trip our students together with the disabled students made a research on history of the most famous places in Ferghana Region – the birth place of local ceramics – Rishtan, and traditional silk fabric “ATHLAS” – Margilan, the palace of the last Ferghana Regional King Khudoyar-Khan, etc. Students parents helped to find and organize information for presentations. The best presentation was about Kokand town, that’s why we decided to start our historical trips with Kokand. We visited Khudoyar-Khan Palace, Local Art Museum and have learned a lot about traditions and culture of our motherland. Especially important was that our friends from the specialized school # 86 were with us. All participants got sweet prizes. They defined and discussed pluses and minuses of modern progress, Ferghana regional ecological problems and were thinking of what we should do to protect our nature and help our regional ecology. For the lesson the students prepared&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"&gt; their pictures where they expressed their opinion on the future of their motherland. After the lesson all the participants together planted flowers (daisies) in the yard of the school and in the streets of local Makhallya “Shadiyana”. Finally. The students draw pictures on the ground of their school about the future of of Nature in our city, our&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 153, 0);"&gt; country and our world. They cleaned the territory of summer camp “Yoshlarobod” in Vodil village of Ferghana region. In the camp the first group of students were cleaning the yard and planted flowers, the second group of students were washing the rooms (doors, windows, floors). During the dinner break the GYSD-quiz was suggested to the act ion participants. At the end of the day the Summer Camp administration gave a thankful speech and invited the students to take part in the opening ceremony of the Summer Camp 2008 season in May. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);"&gt;On April 17, 2008 a group of 9-graders of Parvoz school and their coordinator Marguba Matkarimova conducted a GYSD and iEARN projects presentation and workshop for 30 older students from their school and 8 students from other schools . The participants have learnt about GYSD, volunteers’ movement in different countries. Students got aquainted with iEARN and one of its project “Good deeds”, read messages on the project forum. Also group of 9-graders presented their experience of helping old people from their community (makhallya “Shodiana”). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);"&gt; Working in 5 groups, students developed their own plan of helping and supporting old people of their makhallya. And during the April 22-26 week they made a list of lonely old people who need help and support. Основная цель мероприятия наглядно показать учащимся ,что в мире есть место добрым и хорошим поступкам , и 83;юди , которые нуждаются в их внимании и добром ,человеческом слове и заботе. Ученики школы (2-4 классы) сами подготовили презентации о животных, оформили красивые постер ;ы и картинки. В ходе мероприятия учащиеся гимназии и воспитанники детского дома всецело окунулись процесс , и здесь уже не было видно кто есть кто .За время проведенl 0;я мероприятия дети не только познакомились , но и подружились: вместе рисовали , рассказывали друг о друге, задавали вопросы. Огромную поддержку оказали родители уче ;ников. Которые подготовили транспорт для участников акции, помогали в сборе подарков для малышей из Дома Ребенка. Родители учеников школы 40 «Парвоз» подготовили и прl 6;вели интересную викторину о животных Африки и Узбекистана, в которой с удовольствием приняли участие малыши Детского дома.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;В конце мероприятия учащиеся гимназии выступили с концертными номерами перед воспитанниками и коллективом Детского дома и вручили малышам разные подарки: игруm 6;ки, сладости и самое главное, свое участие и поддержку.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ученикам школы было очень приятно пообщаться с детьми, помочь им .
