Responsibility

This story happened to me a few years ago, I was a little girl. It started on a normal day, I had my lunch and went to my room for a nap,suddenly I heard a cat voice I thought that it was our neighbor's cat so I didn't pay any attention, but later the voice became louder and I noticed some movement under my bed so I jumped out of it and looked under it and I found little animales covered with strange liquid.

I thought that they were mice so I shouted "HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP, mom there are mice under my bed" and I began to cry. Mom told me to calm down and she checked the bed and told me "honey don't be afraid those are little kittins which just got born under your bed " I got so excited , but then I felt sorry for them because their mother left them with out any care ,they can't see,they have nothing to eat,so I begged mom to let me keep them. After thinking she accepted, so I took them and put them in a basket in my room and started to take care of them, I fed them, watched them until they grew up and become old enough to take care of them self so I let them go but they kept coming to our house and play in our garden and that was the first time that I felt that I have responsibility. .....
